Characteristics and Comparison of Four Types of Jaw Crushers. As ideal primary or secondary crusher equipment, jaw crushers with different types are often used in various industries. Depending on different ways of moving, jaw crushers are divided into four types: Blake jaw crusher, Dodge jaw crusher, PE universal jaw crusher and mobile jaw crusher.
A laboratory double-toggle Jaw crusher equipment of Figure 2 with 100 mm × 150 mm gape opening and 190 depth of crushing chamber was employed for the primary crushing activities to reduce the size of particles having a total mass of approximately 1400 g. The schematic diagram of Figure 2 is available in (Gupta and Yan, 2006).Following breakdown of the material from the first unit operation
crusher, the overhead eccentric jaw crusher is used in quarries, cement plants, aggregate plants and other installations. In addition to limestone, these units are used on dolomite, quartz, gravel, trap rock and ores. In some instances, a choice must be made between using this overhead eccentric model or our double toggle jaw crusher.
Double Toggle jaw crushers may feature hydraulic toggle adjusting mechanisms. It is shown below Figure Fig.1 Elevation View of Jaw Crusher Fig.2 Elevation View of Jaw Crusher II. In structural modeling, the plate and the stiffener are treated as separate finite elements where the displacement compatibility transformation takes into account
Metso jaw crusher that employs the simple technology of a four bar mechanism, and design a small scale mechanized jaw crusher for crushing the stones into aggregates. This mechanism will help to evaluate its effectiveness in comparison with other different types of mechanisms in use especially the double toggle and the modified single toggle
A double toggle jaw crusher is much larger, heavier, more moving parts and lower throughput than modern single toggle jaw crushers. The lower throughput statement is a bit misleading because it’s partially attributed to the type of bearings they have versus modern crushers, so if one was to upgrade the bearings, throughput could be closer to that of a modern jaw.
C R U S H I N G 10 10 Types of Jaw Crushers There are various different types of jaw crushers used within the industry. The more commonly used types are depicted below; Blake (Double Toggle) Originally the standard jaw crusher used for primary and secondary crushing of hard, tough abrasive rocks. Also for sticky feeds.
Jul 21, 2015· A line diagram of a double toggle jaw crusher and its main components is shown in Fig. 2. The jaws are set at an angle to each other. The moving jaw moves forward towards the fixed jaw causing fragmentation of rocks inside the crushing chamber and then moves backward in the next half of its working cycle.

Blake (Double Toggle) Originally the standard jaw crusher used for primary and secondary crushing of hard, tough abrasive rocks. Also for sticky feeds. Relatively coarse slabby product, with minimum fines. Overhead Pivot (Double Toggle) Similar applications to Blake. Overhead pivot; reduces rubbing on crusher faces, reduces choking, allows higher speeds and therefore higher capacities.
Today, the most commonly used types of jaw crusher are t he single toggle and t he double toggle designs. The o riginal double to ggle jaw crusher was des igned by Eli Whitney Blake in the USA
A jaw crusher with a double-crank-rocker mechanism includes: a frame ( 1 ); a fixed jaw plate ( 6 ); a movable jaw plate ( 5 ); a crank-rocker device and a driving wheel ( 2 ); wherein the crank-rocker device includes a front crank-rocker mechanism; and a rear crank-rocker mechanism. The front and rear crank-rocker mechanisms are provided on the same eccentric drive shaft ( 3 ) for forming a

The Jaw Crusher was first introduced by Eli Whitney Blake in 1858 as a double-toggle Jaw Crusher. Introduced in 1906, McLanahan’s Universal Jaw Crusher was one of the first modern era overhead eccentric Jaw Crushers. On the overhead eccentric style Jaw Crusher, the moving swing jaw is suspended on the

functioning Jaw crusher. Most of these components are discussed below. Moveable jaw stock The moveable jaw stock is the main moving part in a jaw crusher. It forms the moving side of the jaw, while the stationary or fixed jaw forms the other. It achieves its movement through the eccentric movement of the crusher main shaft. It is the back and
